It was reported earlier this month that Huawei is working on the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to confirm some of the key specs of the device. It appears that the launch date of the Mate X3 may not be far away as it seems to have received approval from the TENAA authority of China.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Mate X3 will be sporting an in-ward folding design and will come equipped with a high refresh rate display. He added that the device will be equipped with the Kirin 9000 4G chipset, a 4,500mAh battery, and the latest HongMeng OS (HarmonyOS) 2.0.1 edition.

The tipster did not share any information on the launch date of the Huawei Mate X3. A Huawei device with model number PAL-AL00 was spotted in the database of the CMIIT authority earlier this month. Now, the same device has bagged approval from the TENAA authority of China.

Speculations are rife that the Huawei PAL-AL00, which is a 4G LTE device, will break cover as the Mate X3 foldable phone. Unfortunately, the TENAA listing of the PAL-AL00 has no information on its specifications. The mere appearance of the device at TENAA is a good hint that its launch may not be far away.

Last year, Huawei announced the Huawei Mate X2 4G in June and was made available for purchase in July. Hence, it is likely that the Mate X3 4G may go official around the same time this year. To recall, the Mate X2 came with specs like a 6.45-inch 90Hz OLED cover display, an 8-inch OLED 90Hz foldable screen, a Kirin 9000 chip, 50-megapixel quad cameras, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
