Last week, iQOO quietly unveiled the iQOO U5x smartphone in China. Starting today, the handset is available for purchase in the home market. It is the second U-series iQOO phone to launch this year after the Snapdragon 695 chipset powered iQOO U5, which debuted in January this year in China.

The iQOO U5x has arrived in China in two options, such as 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for 849 Yuan and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for 1,049 Yuan. It can be purchased in Polar Blue and Star Black colors.

The iQOO U5x has a 6.51-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 269 ppi pixel density, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The front side of the device has an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel has a 13-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (macro) dual-camera setup.

The Snapdragon 680 chipset is present under the hoof of the iQOO U5x. The device comes with 4 GB / 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For additional storage, the device has a microSD card slot. The device comes with the Android 11 OS and OriginOS Ocean UI.

The iQOO U5x houses a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 10W charging through the microUSB port. The device measures 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28mm and weighs around 179 grams.

In related news, iQOO will be announcing the iQOO Neo6 flagship phone on April 13 in China. Reports have revealed that the device will come with a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
