Samsung recently announced a bunch of Galaxy A-series smartphones, including the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A53. Today, the South Korean giant has officially launched the phone in the Chinese market.

In China, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes in two models — 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage costing 3,299 yuan (~$519) and 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage which is priced at 3,699 yuan (~$897).

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 800nits brightness. Under the hood, the device is powered by the company’s own Exynos 1280 processor which is manufactured using a 5nm process.

The phone packs 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It also comes with support for the RAM Plus feature that offers virtual memory of up to 8GB on the device.

In the camera department, the Galaxy A53 5G features a quad-camera setup on the back that includes a 64-megapixel primary wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front side, the device has a 32-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device is running the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own One UI 4.1 custom interface on top. The company is also promising security updates for up to five years on this device. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and comes with support for 25W fast charging.
