Apple has officially announced the date of its much-anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2022 event. This will be the company’s 33rd event and we are expected to see new software updates from the company.

Apple has confirmed that WWDC 2022 will commence from June 6 to June 10. The event will be digital once again, meaning no in-person events or gatherings.

This time around, the company has planned to offer more informative sessions and labs for the developers to learn about the software updates and features that will be introduced at the forthcoming event. Despite the fact that the event will be held entirely online, a limited number of developers and students will get a chance to witness the keynote and State of Union presentations in Cupertino, California on June 6.

Apart from the developers at Apple Park, the company will also offer support to outside developers who love to code through its traditional Swift Student Challenge. Those who wish to participate in the challenge will have to create a Swift playground app project on a topic of their choice. The project needs to be submitted before April 25 to Apple via its website.

Apart from this, we are expected to see new versions of all Apple software skins. The company will likely unveil the iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS 13, and tvOS 16 at the event. We could also see some hardware launches at the event. Currently, there’s a lot of buzz around the upcoming MacBook Air and Apple silicon Mac Pro. That being said, we may expect either or both of these devices at the event.
