Xiaomi has scheduled a launch event in India for April 27. The conference will be primarily for the announcement of Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, the company will be also unveiling other products. One of them is going to be Xiaomi Pad 5, which the firm disclosed earlier this week. Today, it has been revealed that a new smart TV will be also debuting at this event.
Xiaomi has confirmed to launch a new television in India called Xiaomi Smart TV 5A. This TV will be unveiled at the ‘Xiaomi Spring Summer Flagship Event’ on April 27. The conference is planned to begin at 12 PM IST.
The company has a teaser page on its website for the said product. However, it does not reveal much about the television, except for its design and a hint at the chipset.
The upcoming Xiaomi Smart TV 5A will have thin bezels on three sides with a thick bottom bezel. The large bezel will sport the ‘Xiaomi’ branding and LED indicator.
Talking about specifications, the webpage suggests that the TV will be powered by a chip comprising ARM Cortex-A55 cores. Further, like any other Xiaomi or Redmi-branded televisions sold in India, it will also arrive with PatchWall content aggregation service on top of Android TV.
