While it was already confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be launching in the Indian market soon, the company had yet to offer an official date for its release. Our previous reports had hinted at an imminent launch, but now, the date has been officially revealed.

As per the official website of the Chinese tech giant, the highly anticipated Xiaomi 12 Pro will be launching in India on the 27th of April 2022. The brand has refered to its upcoming device as the “Showstopper” on the official teaser. While this model has already been available in China for sometime now, its finally arriving to the Indian market, which is a key region for the brand. In other words, the smartphone will also be replacing last year’s Mi 11 Ultra as the latest flagship model in India. The company further added in a tweet that”The flagship of the is coming home – Xiaomi12Pro 5G is launching on 27.04.22!”

Talking about the smartphone itself, the high end Xiaomi flagship will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. So it will directly compete with other premium offerings from its rival brands. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, the OnePlus 10 Pro, and more. For memory, users will likely have storage configurations that includes up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. On the front, it will sport a 6.73 inch QHD+ AMOLED display that offers a peak brightness of 1500 nits.

This panel also supports a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. Meanwhile, the rear houses a triple camera setup, which includes a 50 megapixel Sony IMX707 sensor, which is paired with two additional 50 megapixel sensors for the portrait lens and the ultra wide angle sensor.
