Xiaomi has recently released the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship smartphones in global markets. The Xiaomi 12 lineup is also expected to include mid-range models including the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G. As the name suggests, it will replace the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE phones from last year. The arrival of the Lite model seems to be drawing near as it has recently bagged approval from the FCC certification site. The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will house a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that delivers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will pack a 4,500mAh battery that will carry support for 67W fast charging.
Under the hood, it will feature the Snapdragon 778G chipset. The device will offer 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of internal storage. The phone will run on Android 12 OS and MIUI 13. The FCC certification of the device revealed that it will come in three variants, such as 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128G storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
For selfies, it will feature a 16-megapixel camera on the front. The rear camera system will have a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel camera for ultrawide shots, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
The fingerprint scanner will be integrated with the display of the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G. The device will carry support for Hi-Res Audio support. The FCC certification of the device has also revealed that the device supports 7 5G bands, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
