In a few days, ZTE will officially announce the next-generation Axon series flagship smartphones in the Chinese market on 9th May. The company is expected to launch three phones — Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra.

Ahead of the official launch, the ZTE Axon 40 Pro smartphone has been leaked online. The phone shows that someone is holding the smartphone, giving us a proper look at the front panel and the back panel of the device.

It clearly appears that the smartphone will have a punch-hole cutout in the top-center position for housing the front-facing camera sensor. The screen also has minimal bezels and it’s a curved screen, giving it a look similar to the Samsung Galaxy S-series phones.

On the back side, there’s a rectangular camera slab in the top-left corner which has two large circular rings. The first ring houses a single camera sensor while the second circular ring has two camera sensors. There could also be a fourth camera lens outside the circular rings along with an LED flash.

A teaser poster coming from the company has confirmed that the Axon 40 Pro will be featuring a 100-megapixel primary camera sensor but information about rest of the camera sensors remain unknown.

On the other hand, a full-screen Axon 40 series smarpthone with an under-display camera sensor has also been leaked online, which is likely to be the Axon 40 Ultra model. The phone is confirmed to have a 120Hz display and have a 64MP triple camera on the back.

From the leaked renders, it appears that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be offered in two different color options — Black and White. To know for sure about the phone’s features, specifications, pricing, and availability, we will have to wait for a few more days for the official launch event to take place on 9th May.
