Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has acquired a number of patents from Sharp, which also showcases their growing cooperating between both parties in the field of patents. As of right now, Oppo has been actively filing for patents while also purchasing high quality assets as well.

According to an ITHome report, the brand has bought a family of US patents related to wireless communications. At the same time, the company has also purchased a family of 4 video coding patents (H.266). The smartphone maker has been acquiring patents from other firms since last year, so the latest transaction with Sharp is in line with its previous transactions.
