Xiaomi recently unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship phone in India. There have been reports that the Chinese manufacturer will launch more 12-series flagship phones in the country. Xiaomi India Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy told Zee Business, “Xiaomi 12 Pro is the first product in the Xiaomi 12 series, and we do have plans to bring more products in Xiaomi 12 series eventually.

When he was specifically asked about the launch timeline for the Xiaomi 12 and 12X in India, he responded by saying, “It’s a little harder for me to put a timeline, but I can tell you that Xiaomi 12 Pro is the first 12 series phone. We definitely have plans to launch more. When does it come is something we can tell you once we are sure about the dates.”

Tipster Yogesh Brar revealed last month that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro flagship phones in India. As the names suggest, the 12X and 12X Pro are expected to succeed the Xiaomi 11X and 11X Pro from last year. He added that the 12X will have the Dimensity 8100 chipset, whereas the Pro model will get the Dimensity 9000 SoC.

In all likelihood, the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro are likely to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro smartphones, which debuted in March in China. The Xiaomi 12 Pro carries a starting price of Rs 62,999 (~$813). There is no information on the pricing of the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro.

In related news, Xiaomi’s China division is reportedly planning to launch the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro smartphones in the home market. Both phones are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset. These phones will be arriving as updated versions for the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro.
