Vivo has announced the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro smartphones in India. Flagship chipsets from MediaTek and Qualcomm power these devices. The lineup offers up to 50-megapixel quad cameras and a 120Hz AMOLED display. Here is all the information on the Vivo X80 lineup for India.
Design and Display
The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are glass bodied smartphones. The vanilla model measures 164.95 x 75.23 x 8.3mm and weighs around 206 grams. On the other hand, the X80 Pro measures 164.57 x 75.3 x 9.10mm and weighs around 219 grams. The X80 lineup has a big camera block on the back, which houses a round-shaped camera module. As can be seen in the images below, the X80 sports a triple camera unit, whereas the Pro model is blessed with a quad-camera setup.
The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are equipped with curved edge displays with a centrally positioned punch-hole. The vanilla model has a 6.78-inch AMOLED E5 screen that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz sampling rate, and 1,000 nits of brightness. On the other hand, the 6.78-inch AMOLED E5 screen of the X80 Pro+ supports Quad HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 1000Hz.

The Vivo X80 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset and comes with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device comes with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W of fast charging. The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro run on the Android 12 OS with FunTouch OS 12 UI on top.
The Vivo X80 Pro is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It also ships with the same amount of RAM and storage. The device packs a 4,700mAh battery. It comes with 80W of fast charging and 50W of wireless charging.
The Vivo X80 duo comes equipped with other features such as extended RAM, an optical (X80) / ultrasonic (X80 Pro) in-screen fingerprint scanner, an X-axis linear motor, a large liquid cooling vapor chamber for heat dissipation, dual stereo speakers, and Hi-Res Audio support. When it comes to connectivity, the X80 duo offers dual SIM support, 5G / 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NavIC, an IR blaster, and a USB-C port.
Cameras
The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro, like their predecessor X-series Vivo phones, are expected to impress with their cameras. Both smartphones have a 32-megapixel camera for snapping selfies and video calls.
The X80’s rear camera module has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS and an f/1.75 aperture. It is coupled with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The camera setup of the X80 Pro has a 50-megapixel Samsung GNV primary camera with OIS support. It is paired with a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and gimbal OIS and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto snapper with OIS and 5x optical zoom.
The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are equipped with the Vivo V1+ image processing chip. Both phones offer common camera features such as laser autofocus, dual-LED dual-tone flash, ZEISS cinematic video bokeh, AI video enhancement, professional camera settings, time-lapse video, bokeh effects, The ZEISS T* coating assists in reducing ghosting and straylight during photography. The company claims it also helps in improving image quality and restoring colors.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online stores, and partnered retailers in India. The Vivo X80 duo is available for pre-booking starting from today (May 18) in the country. Its first sales will commence on May 25.
The Vivo X80 comes in two variants: 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These models are priced at .Rs 54,999 and Rs 59,999, respectively.
On the other hand, the Vivo X80 Pro comes in a single 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant. The device is priced at Rs 79,999. Both smartphones can be purchased in Cosmic Black color. The vanilla model also comes in Urban Blue option.
