Honor has recently gained a significant amount of smartphone market share in China after the void left by Huawei‘s smartphone division in the country. The company has also launched some impressive devices in recent times like the Magic4 series. Now, the brand is gearing up to debut the Honor 70 series in China on May 30. So let’s take a look at all we know about these upcoming devices so far.
Honor 70 Pro Plus
Starting with the top-end model, the Honor 70 Pro plus is expected to feature a 10bit LTPO OLED display from BOE. It is said to have a resolution of 2800×1300pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Under the hood, the smartphone will likely come with Mediatek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset. The configuration details are still under wraps, but a recent Geekbench listing revealed that the device will have 12GB RAM, likely LPDDR5 along with UFS 3.1 storage. A recent 3C certification sighting has revealed that the smartphone will have 100W fast charging which will likely go along with a 4,600mAh battery.
Coming to optics, the device the smartphone is expected to come with a triple camera unit consisting of a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 sensor coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens.
Honor 70 & 70 Pro
Coming to the Pro and vanilla models, both are respected to come with Full HD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution displays from BOE. The panel will support 10bit color and will feature 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the vanilla variant is expected to come with the recently launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 while the Pro model might feature the Dimensity 8000/8100 SoC. The vanilla model will have a bigger 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging while the Pro variant will house a 4600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.
The two devices will be quite different in photographic capabilities as the vanilla variant will have a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the other hand, the Pro model is expected to house a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor coupled with a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera.
