Samsung announced the Galaxy A13 alongside the Galaxy A23 in March. The company is expected to debut a 5G variant of this phone called Galaxy A13 5G very soon. Also, a new variant of the original Galaxy A13 from a couple of months back is also in the news. Today, we get to learn the chipset that will be powering this version of the handset.

Samsung Galaxy A13 4G

According to a retail source of GizPaw, the new variant of Galaxy A13 with model number SM-A137F will house a Mediatek Helio G80 chip. For the unaware, the original Galaxy A13 carrying model number SM-A137F comes powered by an Exynos 850 SoC.

This is not the first time Samsung will be re-releasing a smartphone with a different chipset. Galaxy A12, the predecessor of Galaxy A13, also went through a similar process last year.

The original Galaxy A12 debuted with a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. But later, the South Korean tech giant introduced another version with an Exynos 850 chip.

Apart from the change in the chipset, the two variants of Galaxy A12 are identical. We expect the same for the Galaxy A13.

The new Galaxy A13 could be first announced in Europe alongside the Galaxy A13 5G. Unfortunately, it’s not known when that will happen but it should be sooner than later.
