Earlier this month, Oppo revealed that it will be starting the Android 12 beta program for the Oppo F21 Pro 5G in India. As promised, the company has started recruiting testers. Let’s check out how you can enroll your device to try out the new software before the general public.

According to official announcement posts on Oppo Community, the Chinese handset maker opened Android 12 beta registrations for the Oppo F21 Pro 5G and the Oppo Reno 7 Z 5G on June 17.

For the unaware, these two are basically the same phones with different names. The F series is sold in India, while the Reno Z series is available in Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia.

Per the plan, Oppo is supposed to open registrations on June 23. However, the firm has been recruiting testers six days ahead of schedule. The registration window will only close on June 24, and therefore, there’s still time for interested people to enroll in the program.

But the brand has only allocated 5000 seats each for F21 Pro 5G in India and Reno 7 Z 5G in Indonesia. In order to join the initiative, users will have to go to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Apply Beta Version > Update Beta version and follow the on-screen instructions.

Applicants who get selected will receive the Android 12 beta build via OTA update. As far as stable release is concerned, it should be out in a month or two.

It is worth noting that the 4G variant of Oppo F21 Pro (aka Oppo Reno 7 4G), which was released alongside this phone actually boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12. But for some reason, the 5G model debuted with Android 11.

Anyway, we will update you once Oppo starts rolling out the Android 12 stable update for the Oppo F21 Pro 5G and Oppo Reno 7 5G in the near future.
