POCO F4 5G has launched in India and global markets today. It arrives as the successor to the POCO F1 that debuted way back in 2018. The latest offering is also the third device in the brand’s F-series. POCO has also announced the X4 GT alongside the F4 5G. Notably, the POCO F4 5G is a slightly rebranded version of the Redmi K40S in China. Read on to know more about the smartphone below.
POCO F4 5G specifications and features
The POCO F4 5G sports a 6.67-inch centre-aligned punch-hole E4 AMOLED display. It bears an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Design-wise, the smartphone features a gradient back panel housing a rectangular camera module. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner and the device is IP53 certified water-resistant.
On the imaging front, the POCO F4 5G features triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a 64MP primary lens with OIS support, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth unit. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the POCO F4 5G houses a Snapdragon 870 processor. The chipset is coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For heat dissipation, there is a LiquidCool 2.0 technology comprising of a vapour chamber and a 7-layer graphite sheet. The POCO F4 5G draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging. Software-wise, it ships with MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Connectivity options on the POCO F4 5G include a USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, 4G, and GPS.
POCO F4 5G pricing and availability
The POCO F4 5G’s 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs 27,999 whereas the 8GB + 128GB cost Rs 29,999. The 8GB + 256GB model carries a price tag of Rs 33,999. As a part of the introductory offer, the above RAM and storage configurations are available at Rs 23,999, Rs 25,999, and Rs 29,999 respectively. The smartphone is offered in Nebula Green and Night Black colours. POCO is also providing a 2-year warranty period on the purchase of the F4 5G. It will go on sale in the country starting June 27th from Flipkart.
