Xiaomi is all set to take off the covers of the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra on July 4 in China. Rumors are rife that the 12S Pro will arrive in two CPU variants, powered by Snapdragon and Dimensity chipsets. So far, the company has confirmed that the 12S Pro will arrive with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip onboard. It appears that Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun has seemingly teased the Dimensity edition of the device. Xiaomi has also confirmed a few of the Xiaomi 12S Pro’s most important features.

In the above screenshot, Lei Jun can be seen talking about the Dimensity 9000+, which was announced last month (June). It is believed that the Xiaomi phone with the 2206122SC model number will debut as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 variant of the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Another Xiaomi phone with a 2207122MC model number could be the Dimensity edition of the 12S Pro.
While there is no official confirmation yet, it can be assumed based on Jun’s Weibo post that it could be powered by the Dimensity 9000+ SoC. The Chinese manufacturer may confirm the Dimensity variant directly through tomorrow’s launch event.
Xiaomi has released a couple of Weibo posts to confirm the key features of the Xiaomi 12S Pro. The company has confirmed that the device will be equipped with a 6.73-inch AMOLED LTPO panel that offers 2K resolution, a 1Hz–120Hz refresh rate, 522ppi pixel density, and 1,500 nits of brightness.

The flagship phone will have support for 120W fast charging, which will take around 19 minutes to achieve a full charge. It will also support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The phone will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with a field of view of 115 degrees, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera on the back.
