Apple is planning to launch a new version of the Apple Watch later this year that has been reportedly dubbed the-‘Extreme Sports’ version.

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the display will have a diagonal measurement of over two inches. The ‘Extreme Sports’ model will have a screen area that is roughly 7% larger than the largest Apple Watch currently available. Additionally, the display will feature a resolution of roughly 410 by 502 pixels. Gurman hypothesizes that more fitness measurements or information might be shown on watch faces with the larger screen.

The’Extreme Sports’ watch will also feature a more durable screen and employ a metal that is stronger than aluminum.

Additionally, a bigger battery is anticipated for the watch in order to support longer workout sessions. The watch is anticipated to offer better tracking measures, such as the capacity to recognize elevation changes while trekking. The ‘Extreme Sports’ model is anticipated to be able to identify fevers by measuring the wearer’s body temperature, just like the Apple Watch 8.
