WhatsApp has released many new features to make the instant messaging app more practical and fun to use. One such addition is the message reactions that allow users the ability to quickly react to a message with six preset emotes.
Now, WhatsApp has expanded upon this feature making it so that the users can react with any emoji they want. With the most recent beta version for Android and iOS, WhatsApp users now have a new “+” option next to the six pre-set emojis, allowing you to choose any other emoji for the message reaction.
Additionally, the emoji tray will contain a search box so users may browse for an emoji that is more appropriate. Additionally, WhatsApp will now allow users to change the emoji’s skin tone, which was previously unavailable.
The stable version of WhatsApp is also receiving the upgrade gradually, and all users will have access to this feature in the coming days.
Separately, the WhatsApp beta build has recently introduced a new feature that expands upon the latest privacy-focused changes made to the platform. users already have the ability to hide their last seen, profile picture, and status updates/stories from certain contacts added in an ‘exclusion list’. Now, the beta build has expanded upon it by giving users the option to hide their online status from people on the exclusion list. This means that contacts added to the exclusion list won’t be able to see whenever you are online and using the instant messaging app.
