Honor has officially announced the launch of the much-awaited Honor 8 tablet via an official poster. It is confirmed that the tablet will have a 12-inch display with eye protection, eight stereo speakers, and a sleek light metal body frame.
The official launch poster reveals that the device has curved edges and the screen-to-body ratio seems similar to the previous generation Honor V7 Pro tablet.
The Honor 8 tablet will have a USB-type C port at the bottom, an oval lens module at the back, and an Honor branding placed vertically in the center of the back.
Notably, the camera configuration at the back of the device resembles the Honor V7 Pro in design aesthetics as well.
Recently, a report revealed that the new generation Honor tablet will feature a 2K resolution display and supports 22.5W fast-charging. It was also reported that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor will be integrated into the tablet to enhance performance overall, especially in terms of a fair LTE experience. However, no official information regarding the report has been revealed yet.
In comparison to the previous generation Honor V7 series which was released in September of last year, The V7 features a 10.5-inch 2K resolution screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, as well as a new pen and Bluetooth keyboard. The tablet’s four edges are all the same width, and the body and screen are rounded.
The Honor Tablet V7 is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 900T CPU, while the Honor Tablet V7 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 1300T chip.
Availability of Honor 8 tablet
The available colors for the tablet as seen in the poster are three; navy blue, gold, and a turquoise shade. The device will be officially launched during an official launch conference by the brand that will be held at 07:30 PM (GMT+8) tomorrow i.e. 21st of July.
Additionally, Honor will utilize the launch conference to unveil the Honor x40i smartphone, the Honor Smart Screen X3 series smart TVs, and other devices alongside the Honor 8 tablet.
We await more information as the pricing of the tablet is yet to be released.
