The rumor mill is gradually leaking details about the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which is expected to launch in Q1 2023. Recent reports have revealed some vital information about the cameras of the S23 Ultra. Now, reliable tipster Ice Universe has revealed its chipset and battery size.
According to the tipster, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is expected to launch in November this year. The 4nm chipset is expected to include 1 x Cortex-X3, 2 x Cortex-A720, 2 x Cortex-A710, 3 x Cortex-A510, and an Adreno 740 GPU. The SoC will be manufactured by TSMC.

The tipster did not mention whether the Galaxy S23 Ultra would have an Exynos variant. According to a previous report, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will be used in the entire S23 lineup that will be released around the world.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery. The tipster claimed that its successor would also pack a 5,000mAh battery. While there is no improvement in the battery size, the device may last longer than its predecessor as it will be equipped with a better and energy-efficient chip. It is unclear whether the device will support 45W or a faster charging solution.
Previous reports have revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a 40-megapixel front camera with autofocus support. Its rear camera setup will have a 200-megapixel Samsung HP2 main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom support. The other details of the S23 Ultra are yet to be confirmed. The Q1 2023 announcement will also see the arrival of other S-series models, such as the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus.
