As scheduled, Poco has launched the Poco M4 5G in global markets today. The smartphone made its initial debut in India at the end of April. It is a tweaked Redmi Note 11E with a different rear design, a better selfie camera, and Android 12.

The device is the brand’s most affordable 5G handset. Let’s take a look at everything it has to offer.

The Poco M4 5G features a plastic body like most budget smartphones. However, the phone has an IP52 rating and its display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9mm in dimensions and weighs 200g.

The device sports a 6.58-inch in-cell IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel has a 401 PPI, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The dew-drop notched display supports 70% of the NTSC color gamut.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, It boots MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

Talking about cameras, there’s a dual camera system on the rear consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, on the front, it has an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the phone include dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and dedicated MicroSD card slot.

Last but not least, the device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.

 

Poco M4 5G Price and Availability

Poco is yet to reveal the pricing of Poco M4 5G in global markets. Anyway, the smartphone will be offered in three colors, such as Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.

As per Shopee, the handset will go on sale from August 18 in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on its availability in Europe.
