Today, Redmi unveiled the Redmi A1 alongside the Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G in India. It has been launched as the first device in the brand’s latest Redmi A series of entry-level smartphones. However, the company may soon bring a new A-series handset, dubbed Redmi A1+. It has already been listed on various certification sites. In a new update, the device has appeared on the Google play console website, hinting at some of its key specifications.

MySmartPrice has spotted the Redmi A1+ on the Google Play console website. The listing suggests it will be powered by the MediaTek MT6761 SoC, which is Helio A22. The chipset will be paired with 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8300 GPU.

As per the listing, Redmi A1+ will have a water-drop notch display. It will offer an HD+ resolution of 720x 1600 pixels. Further, the phone is listed to run Android 12 out of the box. It is expected to run clean stock Android without any software skin.

Judging from the specs, the device will likely be launched as an entry-level smartphone. Redmi A1+ will likely be priced under Rs. 8,000 ($100). We expect it will carry a design similar to the Redmi A1. Redmi is yet to confirm any details about the device. The company may announce the device soon.

As mentioned, Redmi A1 debuted in India today. The device came with a 6.52-inch LCD display. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The device is featuring a dual-camera system on the rear consisting of an 8MP primary sensor and a 2MP sensor. While on the front, it has a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calls. It has been priced at ₹6,499 ($81).
