Last week, Redmi debuted its latest budget-range device in India, called the Redmi A1. Now, the smartphone is finally going on its first sale later today. So, let’s take a look at the pricing and specs of the device.

The Redmi A1 costs Rs 6,499 in India for the 2GB + 32GB version. Starting at 4:00 PM today, it will be sold on Amazon and the Mi Store. It can be availed in either Light Blue, Classic Black, or Light Green color options.

The Redmi A1 has a 6.52-inch display (LCD) with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a dewdrop notch. Under the hood, the device has a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.
The device operates on Android 12 Go Edition without MIUI. It offers a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging. It utilizes a micro-USB connector for data transfers and charging. The smartphone has a dedicated micro-SD card port that can accommodate micro-SD cards with up to 512GB of storage.
For optics, the device has a dual-camera system on the rear, comprising an 8MP primary sensor and a 2MP sensor. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Other features include dual-SIM 4G support, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
