The news arrives from known tipster Ice Universe, who has been a reliable source for the South Korean tech giant’s upcoming products. Now, the leakster claims that he is 100 percent sure that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a 200 megapixel primary camera on the rear that will have a size of 1/1.3 inches and have a 0.6μm sized pixels and a larger aperture of f/1.7 for getting in more light.

For those unaware, the previous generation Galaxy S22 Ultra had an 108 megapixel sensor that had a 1/1.33 inch size and a 0.8µm pixels and an f/1.8 aperture. He further added that the image sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be slightly larger than the sensor found in the new Apple iPhone 14 Pro’s main 48 megapixel camera, which also has a 1/1.3 inch size.

Although, Ice Universe also stated that it will be smaller than some sensors on premium smartphone offerings from rival Android brand model that will be launching next year. Reportedly, the 200 megapixel camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will not be the HP1 or HP3 sensors from the company that were announced previously. So, it is likely a new 200 megapixel sensor that could be exclusively customized for the next true Samsung flagship.
