The Apple iPhone 14 series was just recently announced for the global market. We have already covered various reports regarding the device since its launch, ranging from availability and known bugs, but now, the latest information has revealed the charging speeds of the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The news arrives from a Chinese website called Chongdiantou, who has tested a variety of Apple power adapters on the new 2022 iPhone models. Interestingly, they chose to test the base model of the series as well as its top end variant. The test basically showcased the charging rates of the two iPhones and even suggested which charger is the most valuable for fast charging.

Looking at these results, the Cupertino based giant’s 29W or higher power adapters can charge the iPhone 14 Pro Max at up to 27W. Similar to the these two model, the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro should also have a similar charging rate. In other words, Apple’s official 30W USB Type C power adapter should offer the best charging output and should work best with the latest generation of iPhone series.

Apple

This report is quite interesting since the brand has never officially revealed the fast charging speeds of its iPhones or even their battery capacities. Chongdiantou tested multiple Apple chargers, which revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a maximum charging speed of 26W to 27W while the iPhone 14 has a charging speed of 25W. These figures might look lackluster compared to the one’s offered by its Android counterparts, but hopefully the iPhone 15 series possibly coming with a USB Type C port may bump these charging rate.
