Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be announcing the Xiaomi CIVI 2 on Sept. 27 in China. Ahead of the launch, the Chinese manufacturer has released a couple of renders to give a good look at the CIVI 2’s rear design. Kacper Skrzypek, a reliable source of information, has said that the smartphone may make its debut on the global market.

The official renders reveal that the female-focused Xiaomi CIVI 2 will sport a unique wavy pattern on its back. Apart from the white variant, the device is likely to be made available in other shades.

The official images also confirm that the CIVI 2 will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and that it carries support for Dolby Atmos. The right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a power button. The top edge of the CIVI 2 seems to feature an IR blaster and a microphone. Its bottom edge has a SIM card slot, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille.

While the front side of the device is yet to be revealed, it is likely to sport a curved edge OLED panel with a centrally positioned punch-hole. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device measures 7.23mm in thickness and weighs 171 grams. The fact that the CIVI 2 is thicker and heavier than the original Xiaomi CIVI from last year suggests that it will have better hardware inside.

According to tipster Skrzypek, the CIVI 2 may debut in the global market with a different name. The Xiaomi 13 Lite seems to be a suitable moniker for the device. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about its global launch.

As far as specs are concerned, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 is expected to come with a 6.56-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It may come with a 32-megapixel front and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-mgeapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
