Infinix is gearing up to launch the Infinix Zero Ultra 5G smartphone in some markets. With specs like a curved edge OLED display, 180W charging, and a 200-megapixel camera with OIS onboard, it is going to be the most powerful phone from the brand. It appears that the company is working on another phone with a focus on capturing topnotch selfie shots. In a new report, GSMArena has shared pictures of the Zero Ultra 5G and its most important feature.
According to the publication, an upcoming Infinix Zero-series phone with a 60-megapixel selfie camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is said to be in the works. It is the highest resolution selfie camera with OIS support seen on a smartphone.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Edge 30 Pro, and Huawei Nova 10 also feature a 60-megapixel front-facing camera. However, they do not feature OIS for the front camera. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are the only phones to launch this year with an OIS-enabled front camera.
Coming back to the leak, the report has no information on the other specs of the mysterious Zero-series phone. The leaked images of the phone show that it has a curved edge OLED display. But the article doesn’t say for sure if the leaked pictures are from the Zero-series with a 60-megapixel OIS selfie camera.
The publication mentioned that even though the device looks similar to the Zero Ultra, they are different devices. The reason behind it is that the Ultra model is expected to come equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Zero Ultra 5G is all set to meet the world on Oct. 5. It remains to be seen whether the selfie-focused Infinix also breaks cover alongside it.
