Startup brand Nothing is gearing up to launch its second audio product, dubbed Nothing Ear (Stick). The new hearables are expected to replace the Ear (1), launched later this year. The company recently offered us an official look at the design of the upcoming earbuds during London Fashion Week. Now, ahead of the launch, the Ear (stick) cleared FCC certification, giving us a closer look at the casing design and a few key spec details.

Nothing Ear 1

Nothing Ear (Stick) has received the FCC certification with model number B157 (via). The listing has also revealed some specifications as well as the design of the upcoming TWS earbuds. As per FCC, the earbuds come with a 36mAH battery, and the charging case, which will also double up as a travel case, will carry an additional 350mAh battery. Further, the Nothing TWS will come with a Type-C to Type-C cable of 31cm in length. For connectivity, the earbuds will have Bluetooth v5.2.

The certification site also reveals the casing design of the Nothing Ear (Stick). As can be seen in the images, the audio product will carry a similar transparent design as the Ear (1). However, its charging case will be pretty different. This time, Nothing decided to go with a cylindrical design that looks like a lipstick, hence the name “Ear (Stick)”.

The new earbuds are said to be a more affordable alternative to the Nothing Ear (1), so they may not come with functionalities like ANC. However, Nothing hasn’t confirmed any details about the upcoming TWS yet. Moreover, we are still waiting for an official launch date of the Nothing Ear (Stick).
