TCL has opened a Kickstarter campaign for its new smart glasses – Nxtwear S. The TCL Nxtwear S promises a viewing experience similar to a 140-inch TV from a distance of about 13 feet. The smart glasses also have the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. The crowdfunding campaign for the TCL Nxtwear S has already achieved over $239,000 in subscriptions by 681 backers.TCL Nxtwear S smart glasses  The new TCL Nxtwear S is an improvement from TCL’s earlier smart glasses. It has a micro OLED that outputs a 1080p FHD viewing. The Nxtwear S also offers 2D content and is compatible with both Windows and Android OS. The Nxtwear S can be used with smartphones, tablets, PCs, and several gaming consoles. You can also connect your earphones via Bluetooth through the smartphone to listen to the audio.

The smart glasses come with an affordable price tag, which will further enhance their demand. The Nxtwear S comes as a pair of portable screens with a lightweight frame. The new pair of TCL smart glasses also work with iOS when used with an adapter pair for devices that use a magnetic pogo pin connector. Physical controls in the device include a dial that can be used to switch between viewing modes and a volume adjuster. The monitor has a DCI-P3 coverage above 90% and an overall rating of 47 pixels/ degree.

The Nxtwear S is only available via Kickstarter and the discounted price offers start from $329. The crowdfunding campaign will last till early November.
