Samsung is apparently planning on keeping its momentum of quick updates into next year as well. The company has claimed that it will be offering the new Android 14 update, even faster that the Android 13 roll out this year.
For those unaware, the Google Pixel series of smartphones are still the first handset models to receive the Search Engine giant’s latest Android OS upgrade. There is then a rush in the smartphone market as company’s rush to get the update out on their respective offerings, which also usually run with a custom skin on top of Android. Samsung has had a very quick response time with its Android 13 OS based One UI 5.0 update bringing the latest Unicode 15 emoji to Galaxy users before it even arrived on Pixel phones.

The South Korean tech giant has also been showing off its fast Android 13 update release, with most of its higher end phones and even the Galaxy Tab S8 tablet series have also receiving the update. Now, the company stated in a new press release that it had “drastically reduced the time interval” between the release of the Android 13 and the One UI 5.0 roll out. With Android 13, the company has shown major improvements in its process of rolling out software upgrades.
So apart from Google phones, we can expect Samsung phones to be one of the first to receive new Android operating system builds since typically it takes a couple of months before an update hits phones that are not Pixel models. Back in the early days of smartphones, Samsung users had to wait for quite a few months before being update to the latest version of Android, but this no longer appears to be the case.
