Samsung Galaxy A23 5G (Japan) Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G for Japan bears model number SCG18. It is totally different from the original Galaxy A23 5G (SM-A236) sold in other markets worldwide.

The Japanese A23 5G looks like entry-level Core phones. However, it packs budget 5G smartphone specs.

As the device is designed specifically for Japan, it comes with a couple of features that are common in handsets sold in the region. They are IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and NFC for contactless payments as well as transit passes.

The phone is built around a 5.8-inch compact display (TFT LCD) with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels (HD+) and a dewdrop notch. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The device boots Android 12-based One UI 4.0 software. It not only has a MicroSD card slot but also a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It comes with a single 50MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.  There’s also a single speaker and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The handset supports eSIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, and USB Type-C. It draws power from a 4,000mAh battery.

Last but not least, the phone measures 150 x 71 x 9.0mm in dimensions and weighs 168g.
