Vivo recently launched its Vivo X90 series of flagship smartphones in its home country China. From the lineup, the top-end model, dubbed Vivo X90 Pro+, is set to go on sale from 6th December.

Now, days before the smartphone becomes available for purchase in the Chinese market, the company has started taking pre-orders for the device.

The smartphone comes in two different memory configurations — 12GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB of internal storage where the former is priced at 6,499 yuan (~$902) while the latter costs 6,999 yuan (~$972). The devices come in two different color options, namely Huaxia Red and Original Black.

Coming to the specifications, the Vivo X90 Pro+ features a 6.78-inch OLED hyperbolic display with a screen resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate (LTPO 4.0), 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 10bit color depth, and peak brightness of 1800nit. There’s also in-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. There is a VC liquid cooling system for heat dissipation.

In the camera department, the phone features a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP primary sensor with the industry’s only f/1.75 aperture. It is coupled with a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide lens, a 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait unit with OIS support, and a 64MP periscope zoom lens with 90mm focal length 10x optical zoom. Both the Pro variants pack features like ZEISS T* optical lens, dToF laser autofocus, and Vivo V2 ISP. On the front side, there’s a 32MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ runs the latest Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own Origin OS 3 custom user interface on top. It is powered by a 4,700mAh cell with support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
