Vivo has recently launched the Vivo X90 series of smartphones in China. It looks like the company will soon switch its focus to the next-generation S-series phones. The reason is that two upcoming Vivo phones with the same charging capabilities have been found in the database of the 3C certification platform. It is speculated that the new phones could be part of the forthcoming Vivo S16 series.

As can be seen in the images below, two new Vivo phones with model numbers V2244A and V2245A have appeared in the database of China’s 3C certification platform. The listings suggest that both 5G-ready phones may ship with an 80W fast charger. These devices may carry marketing names, such as the Vivo S16 and the Vivo S16 Pro.

The 3C certification is a good hint that the Vivo S16 series will be launching soon in China. Hence, it is likely that the S16 and S16 Pro may debut at some point in December or early 2023. The S16 family is also said to include another model called the Vivo S16e. It is also expected to be certified by Chinese certification platforms in the coming days.

The Vivo S15e, Vivo S15, and Vivo S15 Pro are powered by the Exynos 1080, Snapdragon 870, and Dimensity 8100 chipsets, respectively. Speculations are rife that the Vivo S16 will arrive with the Snapdragon 870 chip onboard.

The Vivo S16 Pro is likely to feature the all-new Dimensity 8200 SoC. It is also expected to feature the Vivo V1+ image processing chip. The S16e could be powered by the Dimensity 1080 chipset.

The Vivo S16 may come in color variants like black, blue, and purple. The Pro model could come in shades like black, green, and orange gold. The other details of the Vivo S16 series are under wraps.
