Back in September, Motorola launched the Edge 30 Fusion in multiple global markets. Now, the smartphone has finally arrived in the US market in a special color called Viva Magenta, which is Pantone’s Color of the Year 2023.

According to Motorola’s official press release on the subject, Pantone has been choosing the Color of the Year for more than 20 years by “analyzing global trends and themes throughout the year,” taking into account “all facets of society, from fashion to marketing, social media, and even politics.”

For those unaware, Motorola has a “globally exclusive partnership with Pantone in the smartphone category,” which is why Motorola gets to use these Pantone colors for its smartphones. The American Edge 30 Fusion’s specifications are identical to those of its international version; it differs mainly in terms of color and the fact that it comes with a set of Moto Buds 600 ANC TWS earbuds, in Winetasting, “a color created to suit the Pantone Color of the Year 2023.”

The Viva Magenta color variant of the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion costs $799.99. If you want to buy the smartphone without the Moto Buds 600 ANC TWS earbuds, it is available in a Neptune Blue color option for $699.99. The Edge 30 Fusion will be an unlocked phone that will only work with AT&T and T-Mobile.
