Redmi will soon launch the Redmi K60 series of smartphones in China. Recent reports have claimed that the lineup will include three models, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60E. Today, the company officially confirmed the existence of the Redmi K60E. In addition, it also revealed the name of the chip that will power the device.
Leaked information that surfaced in November revealed that the Redmi phone with the codename “Rembrandt” will launch in China with the “Redmi K60E” moniker. It is believed that the Redmi device with model number 22127RK46C which was recently certified by the 3C authority of China will be marketed as the Redmi K60E in the home market.

The leak claimed that the Redmi K60E will come equipped with the Dimensity 8200 (officially announced today) chipset. However, a recently spotted Geekbench listing of the device revealed that the device may arrive with the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. But the official poster for the Redmi K60E that came out today confirms that it will have the Dimensity 8200 chipset.
The 3C certification of the Redmi K60E has revealed that it may arrive with support for 120W fast charging. It is speculated that the Redmi K60E could be based on the Xiaomi 12T. Previous reports claimed that the Xiaomi 12T would debut in China as the Redmi K50S, but that didn’t come true. It appears that the Redmi K60E will be a redesigned Xiaomi 12T / Redmi K50S.
The Xiaomi 12T has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with support for 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 20-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The Dimensity 8100-Ultra powered phone offers up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
