Samsung has been working on new accessories with recent leaks and rumors hinting at one such model. This accessory is a wireless charging station that is dubbed SmartThings and it was just recently spotted getting certified, which offered us a first look at the device. So let’s have a look.

The upcoming wireless charging station was spotted getting certification on the FCC. This online database revealed that the new SmartThings wireless charging station carries the model number EP-P9500. Furthermore, the certification listing even offers us a first look at the accessory as well. The image shows us the device getting tested on a setup for the evaluation process by the regulatory agency.

We can see that the SmartThings wireless charging pad is strapped to a test bench and the picture also shows the radiation patterns on the three geometry axes. Unfortunately, the entire setup restricts our vision of clear view at the device, but we can tell that it has a rectangular shape with rounded corners. Apart from this, we can also see that it sports a pretty thick gray frame as well.

The rear and front of the Samsung SmartThings wireless charging station also comprises of a glossy black material. There’s not a lot of information shared on the FCC certification, but it is confirmed that it features Zigbee, Bluetooth LE, WiFi support, and even wireless power transfer.
