Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto X40 in the Chinese market on December 15. The majority of the specs, including the design of the device, have already leaked online. And now, it has appeared on Geekbench, revealing its performance along with some confirmed specs. So, let’s check out the listing.

The Motorola handset has appeared on Geekbench 5 database (spotted by MySmartPrice) with the model number XT2301-5. It is possible that this could be the Moto Edge 40 Pro, which will be the global variant of the Moto X40. The listing shows that the device is running an octa-core processor with the prime core clocked at 3.19GHz, four cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and three cores running at 2.02GHz. As we already know, this is the newly launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Looking at these clock speeds, it is clear that this is a stock version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with no overclocking or underclocking applied.

The listing also mentions that the device is running Android 13 and has 12GB of RAM onboard. In the single-core round of the test, the smartphone got 1471 points. In the multi-core round, however, it managed to score 4683 points. Other than this, the Geekbench listing does not provide any further information. However, a recent FCC listing of the Moto XT2301-4 did reveal that it features 125W fast charging.
For the time being, rumors suggest that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Finally, the device’s display is expected to have a refresh rate of up to 165Hz.
