Huawei spin-off Honor today (Monday) held a launch conference in China where it unveiled a number of products ranging from smartphones to smart home gadgets. One of the gadgets announced is the Honor Smart Body Fat Scale 3. As the name implies, this is likely the third-generation model in the lineup. Well, that should be after the company disengaged from Huawei considering that Honor had always launched smart products such as the smart scale while it was still Huawei.
Honor says the Smart Body Fat Scale 3 can measure 24 multi-dimensional indicators of the human body, including body weight, fat percentage, Body Mass index (BMI), body score, subcutaneous fat percentage, visceral fat level, etc.
The Honor Smart Body Fat Scale 3 has four weighing modes: normal mode, baby mode, pregnant woman mode, and small object mode. It also has support for both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Thus, the smart scale can be paired with a companion smartphone via Bluetooth or WiFi connection. Users can view the data collected on the scale via the smartphone and also adjust the settings of the device.
In terms of design, the Honor Smart Body Fat Scale 3 utilizes a transparent glass surface which we expect to be durable. The device adopts an ultra-thin build and equally has a small LCD display on the surface which displays a few vital parameters like battery level, weight, and BMI, among a few others.
In terms of price, the retail price of the Honor Smart Body Fat Scale 3 is 149 yuan ($21), and the first sale price is 129 yuan ($18). The product is presently up for pre-order in China and it will go on sale on January 9, 2023.
