In February 2022, Lenovo debuted the Legion Y700 8-inch tablet in the Chinese market. The device is claimed by many to be the best Android tablet made this year, which was also our conclusion back when we reviewed it.

Although it is exclusively available in the Chinese market, where it lacks Google Play Services, there is hope that the tablet might make its global debut soon. Lenovo India has a page on its official website titled “Legion Y700 Series”. This page is categorized under “consumer notebook” and “Lenovo Legion”. The site is currently incomplete and the only thing currently visible is the product name and the partial background graphic. This could be an indication that Lenovo plans to launch the tablet in India, and in other markets as well.

Spec-wise, the Legion Y700 is an 8.8-inch tablet with an LCD display offering a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also has support for 100% DCI P3 color gamut. The tablet features a minimalistic design with a premium build quality.
Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It is powered by a large 6,550mAh battery pack that supports 45W fast charging. A dedicated cooling system is present onboard with an 8500mm² vapor chamber. The Legion Y700 includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash on the back.

Other than that, the tablet is fitted with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a volume rocker, a power button, and a dedicated switch for the resource monitoring window in gaming mode. The tablet made its debut with a starting price of 2,199 Yuan (US$348), So we can expect it to cost somewhere around ₹30,000 in India.
