Software updates have been deemed a weak point for Chinese OEMs for a long time. However, that changed to some extent in 2022, at least for Oppo. The BBK-owned company has already updated a good number of smartphones in both China and overseas market. Now, as we are preparing to enter 2023, the brand has announced the ColorOS 13 update plan for the first quarter of the year. Let’s look at the details.

In Q1 2023, Oppo will be rolling out stable and beta builds of Android 13-based ColorOS 13 to a vast number of smartphones. The devices that will receive the beta update include the OPPO Reno7 5G, Oppo K9s, and Oppo Reno5. The update timeline is for the Chinese region and the brand should announce the global update plan in a day or two.
