Elon Musk has just announced that Twitter will soon be rolling out changes to its UI (User Interface) while also bringing new features for the platform. This was teased by the billionaire via a tweet, so here are all the details.
The CEO and owner of the microblogging website stated that there will be major new changes to the platform. Musk will be bringing a new feature later this week, which will allow its users to move between recommended and followed tweets in their timelines. While the executive did share these details, it is still unclear what the changes might actually look like since there was no preview of this feature provided by Musk.
Furthermore, it is also unclear whether this will be exclusive to the Twitter mobile applications or if it will even be offered to the web client. Elon also stated that the company would even be bringing a major overhaul in the UI on the way. Another key change is that the UI will now include a Bookmark button in the Tweet details view. While bookmarking tweets has been available for sometime now, the process typically took a few more steps.
Twitter will be rolling out these UI changes a week after the new features arrive. Lastly, the company is also planning on bringing the long awaited feature that allows users to form long tweets. This feature will be added to Twitter early next month. Although, there are no additional details regarding this matter as of right now.
