Huawei smartphones run the company’s own HarmonyOS operating system, which is not based on Google’s Android. Over the past few years, the brand has significantly improved its in-house OS and the latest version— HarmonyOS 3— brings plenty of new stuff. Recently, Huawei started releasing new lock screen optimizations for a sizable number of smartphones running HarmonyOS 3.

Huawei has started rolling out the HarmonyOS 3.0.0.192 update in China, which brings the December 2022 security patch and new lock screen optimizations. It also revamps the user experience of the phone clone feature.

The new build will not delete the existing data of the device but it is still recommended to keep a backup, just in case.

To recall, HarmonyOS 3 brings several new features and an improved user interface. It includes smart folders, widget grouping, stacking, and better system security. Last month, the Chinese company even released a new feature called Turbo charge to the flagship Mate 50, P50, and Mate 40 series. It allows users to customize the charging UI.
