Xiaomi‘s current Redmi Note 12 premium mid-range series consists of up to five models including the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro Plus, Note 12 Pro Speed, and the vanilla Note 12. Well, that may soon change as a recent rumor claims the company is planning to launch a sixth model known as Redmi Note 12 Turbo soon.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo

The rumor by Kacper Skrzypek reveals the device bears the codenamed marble and packs a Qualcomm chip. The rumor is gathering momentum as specs details of a Xiaomi model said to be the expected Note 12 Turbo has been shared by prolific tipster Digital Chat Station. The tipster hinted via a Weibo post that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset. The processor will pair with 12GB RAM with up to 512GB of storage.

Digital Chat Station also disclosed that it will pack a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. This display setup is similar in size to other models of the Redmi Note 12 series. As far as the camera, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is listed to feature a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup. It is also expected to cram a 5500mAh battery under the hood with support for 67W fast charging.

For now, there is no word as to when the Note 12 Turbo or Note 12T will go official. There is also no official confirmation from Xiaomi. The company had promised not to clutter the Note 12 series but with five models already and a rumored sixth, we can’t say the company is keeping true to its promise.
