Marshall, a company known for its rugged and portable Bluetooth speakers, has launched its latest product, the Middleton. The Marshall Middleton Bluetooth Speaker is a large, portable Bluetooth speaker that boasts an IP67 rating and a 20+ hour runtime at mid-volume. The speaker is equipped with dual woofers and tweeters that deliver 50 watts of 360-degree sound and has a frequency range of 50Hz to 20kHz, making it one of the more powerful speakers in Marshall’s lineup. The speaker measures 4.3 x 9 x 3.75 inches, making it the largest IP67-rated speaker offered by the company.

The portable speaker is designed with a soft-touch exterior made of 55% post-consumer recycled plastic, making it both durable and environmentally friendly. It also comes with a carry strap and onboard controls, including a Bluetooth button, a multi-use joystick for power, volume, and track selection, as well as bass and treble controls. The level indicator displays battery level, volume, bass, and treble levels, all with backlit red lighting.

The Middleton also supports Marshall’s Stack Mode feature, allowing users to pair multiple speakers for a more powerful sound experience. The company claims that up to 60 compatible speakers can be paired at once. The Middleton is also equipped with a USB-C port, allowing users to charge other devices from the speaker.

In terms of sound quality, the Marshall Middleton Bluetooth Speaker delivers a good dynamic range and provides significant depth to any sound it produces. With its two 15-watt woofers, two 10-watt tweeters, and two passive radiators, the Middleton provides a powerful and robust sound that is perfect for outdoor activities and gatherings.

The Middleton portable Bluetooth speaker is presently available in black with a cream-colored option set to be released in the spring. The speaker retails for $300, which is a slight premium compared to similar models like the UE Megaboom 3 and the JBL Charge 5.
