Just recently, we had reported on a leaked live video that Tecno is gearing up to unveil a new Phantom V Fold, which will be launching soon. Now, the company has officially confirmed that it would be unveiling its flagship foldable phone during the MWC 2023 event later this month.
In an official press release, the company announced that it is gearing up to launch its first ever foldable smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2023 conference. Notably, this device will also be the world’s first left-right foldable smartphone, which will also be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000+ SoC. In other words, it comes with innovation and some top notch specs and features. For those unaware, the Phantom series is Tecno’s lineup of high end handsets.
According to Jack Guo, General Manager of Tecno “We are delighted to be marking another exciting and important milestone together with MediaTek with the launch of the PHANTOM V Fold. In developing the world’s first left-right foldable smartphone to be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, we are underlining our firm belief in the ability of this partnership to continue delivering unparalleled experiences to our customers around the world.”
This foldable smartphone will be officially unveiled during 28th February 2023. The Phantom V Fold also shows Tecno’s extended partnership with MediaTek as both brands worked closely for the upcoming smartphone. As per Finbarr Moynihan, Vice President, Corporate Marketing of MediaTek, “This chip enables TECNO to bring the PHANTOM V Fold to market with a powerful flagship experience, and we look forward to the continuation of this valuable collaboration.”
