Last week, OnePlus announced its latest smartphone under the Ace lineup, dubbed OnePlus Ace 2. As the name itself indicates, the device is the successor of the OnePlus Ace launched last year.

OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone is now available for purchase in the Chinese market for a starting price of 2,799 yuan which converts to around $410.

Coming to the specifications, the device features a 6.74-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution with 2772 × 1240 pixels, 1450 nits of peak brightness, 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, Asahi Glass AGC protection, and adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It comes with 5177mm² eight channel heat dissipation VC cooling which the company claims is based on an exclusive black technology for an improved heat dissipation that is twice as effective as typical VC liquid cooling mechanisms.

In the camera department, there’s a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX890 sensor that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and has a 1/1.56-inch size and f/1.8 aperture. It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front side, the phone features a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device runs Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own ColorOS 13 custom user interface on top. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W SuperVOOC charging.
