While Sony doesn’t focuses on smartphones as heavily as it used to, it still seeks to offer a robust experience on the few models that it does offer. This shows in the way it keeps its older phones up to date, with the Xperia 10 III just receiving Android 13 OS update.
The Japanese tech giant is rolling out the Android 13 OS update for the Xperia 10 III model. As of right now, the Xperia 10 IV is the latest model from this series and the brand is rumored to be working on an Xperia 10 V model as well that could be launching soon. Just last month, Sony had released the Android 13 OS update for the Xperia 10 IV. Now, the company has released the firmware version 62.2.A.0.367 for the Asian and European regions.
At the moment, it is unclear when the update would be rolling out for other areas. But it might still be a while away. As per the changelogs, we can tell that the update brings the major software upgrade as well as the January 2023 security patch. Apart from this, the phone will now also offer a new lock screen along with a refreshed Quick settings panel and various changes to the Camera app.
For those unaware, the Sony Xperia 10 III is a mid range handset that was launched back in 2021. It sports a 6 inch OLED display that supports HDC and a Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC. A 4,500mAh battery pack powers the device, which supports 21W fast charging. The rear features a 12 megapixel triple camera setup while the front houses an 8 megapixel selfie shooter.
