Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo V27 series smartphones in the global market soon. The company has recently dropped a teaser for these upcoming devices. This means that the launch could happen in the coming days. We already know that the V27, V27 Pro and V27e devices in the series will be rebranded from the China-exclusive Vivo S16 series.

The Vivo V27e has been spotted on SIRIM and BIS certification websites (via), confirming that the device will launch in Malaysia and India. The listings do not reveal anything regarding the specifications, however, they do confirm that in both regions the device will have model number V2237.

Vivo V27

We know about some of the specifications of the Vivo V27e thanks to a recent Google Play Console listing. According to the listing, the device will have a 1080 x 2400 pixels display with 440 ppi pixel density. The display will likely be an AMOLED panel that’s 6.62 inches in size, and offer up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Vivo S16e

Under the hood, the device will have a MediaTek MT6789 SoC which is also known as the Helio G99. This is a 6nm based 4G chipset manufactured by TSMC and offers great efficiency and decent performance. It is worth noting that the Chinese counterpart of this device i.e. the Vivo S16e is powered by a Dimensity 1080 chipset that comes with 5G support.

For optics, we can expect a 50MP main sensor, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth snapper. There is a 16MP front-facing camera. Other details about the device are still a mystery at the moment.
