Mobvoi is one of the oldest Wear OS smartwatch companies. The firm is known for its TicWatch Pro lineup of wearables.

Unfortunately, there has not been a new TicWatch Pro model in a very long time. A new one was supposed to release last year but that never happened.

Months later, this upcoming product seems to have been now listed on FCC with a few details about it.

TicWatch Pro 5
Official Teaser for the Next-gen TicWatch

Back in July 2022, Mobvoi officially confirmed that the next TicWatch will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chipset. At the same time, the company teased the design of the product and revealed that it will be released in the fall, however, that never materialised.

Now, a mysterious Mobvoi smartwatch has been certified by FCC with model number WH12088. Going by the listing, it is most likely the yet-to-release new TicWatch.

The wearable is expected to go by the name of TicWatch 5 Pro. Because the number 4 is considered unlucky in China and other South East Asian countries.

As per the FCC listing, the device will be backed by a 611mAh battery.  For comparison, the battery-life champions (Android-based) Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Oppo Watch 3 Pro house smaller batteries.

So the forthcoming Mobvoi TicWatch 5 Pro may arrive with stellar endurance. Last but not least, the listing also reveals that it will come with WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

There’s a chance that this wearable could go official at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 next week.
