Amazon’s latest e-reader, the Kindle Scribe, launched in November 2022 with a focus on writing capabilities. Now, a new software update is bringing even more features to enhance the user experience.

Kindle Scribe New Update Details

One of the most significant updates is the addition of new brush types for the included Pen, making it even more versatile for writing and drawing. The Kindle Scribe now offers fountain pen, marker, and pencil brush options, each with five thickness options, and enhanced pressure and tilt capabilities for more precision. These new brush types are available in the writing toolbar, sticky notes, and Premium Pen shortcuts.

Another improvement is the ability to create subfolders within notebooks, providing better organization for those who create a lot of content. Users can easily create a subfolder by pressing the “+” button in any folder, and move it to a different location if needed.

Navigating within notebooks is also easier with the new software update. Users can quickly jump to a specific page by selecting the “Go to page” option from the three-dot icon in a notebook and typing in the page number.

Amazon promises even more features in the future, including lasso copy/paste tools, improved notebook organization and navigation, and the ability to send documents to the Kindle Scribe directly from Microsoft Word with a Microsoft 365 subscription.
